I was born with extremely high arches and over the years I've always required orthotics. I had orthotics custom-made for my feet at numerous places in Halifax and surrounding areas. The orthotics I had made have been the very best of all I've tried over the years. Your pedorthist is definitely an expert in her field and she has made my daily life much better and less painful with the amazing orthotics she created for my very unusually shaped feet. I was so happy when I first tried them, I cried, because I felt like I had normal feet when I wore the orthotics she made for me.

During World War II in France on August 4, 1944 I lost a portion of my left foot due to enemy shelling. During the following 45 years I was fitted with a variety of aids including a “Thomas” heal with various metatarsal bars to the sole of my shoe which did not offer a great deal of relief. Around 1990 I was fitted with matching orthotics from you which completely changed my life enabling me to walk long distances and ice skate in complete comfort.

I am writing to say thank you for your care and craftsmanship in the making of my orthotics. I am sure that you get many letters from people pleased with their new orthotics, the lack of persistent aches and pains due to your work, and the increased freedom and flexibility in their lives as they are now able to return to their routines of daily living.
My thank-you is a little different in that it has been some years since I visited your clinic or purchased orthotics from you. As a result of employment, I have moved quite often throughout the Maritimes and always returned to you when a new pair was required. I appreciated the personal friendly service, the attention to ensure the needed support and comfort was there, and that if adjustments needed to be made you had the facilities right there to attend to them. I absolutely loved the process of making the impressions of my feet (felt that a warm spa treatment to me!) which ensured you had a weight bearing mold to make up my orthotics.

I went for my first orthotics appointment last week. I was very impressed with the knowledge and service I received. My physician had told me I had one leg shorter that the other so it was measured by the orthotics team and found to be true. I was told I would get my orthotics in approx three weeks, but I was given a free lift for my shoe to correct the discrepancy to help until I get my orthotics. It has been an amazing help and I am very impressed and grateful.

I am new to BEDFORD ORTHOTICS, and am EXTREMELY impressed with your pedorthist and her wealth of information. I have a few medical issues that need to be considered, and was pleased with her ability to accept me as a person, as a whole, without any hesitation. The initial appointment was over one hour long, and I did not feel rushed, and had all of my questions and concerns answered. When the time came to leave the business, I felt that I had learned a lot about the mechanics of the foot, the body and the way that many things must be considered to make the best possible outcome for my feet, and my total body. Your pedorthist and her staff run a very professional business, and the customer leaves with an educated, positive, memorable experience!!!
