What Foot Orthotics Do

A foot orthotic is a device that can be discretely inserted into the shoe to support, align, prevent and/or accommodate foot abnormalities and improve how the foot functions. We make your unique orthotics from full-standing weight 3-D plaster casts for greater accuracy and reliability and sustained pain-free results.

What are Orthotics

Orthotics are custom shoe insoles that comfortably align, cushion, and improve the function of both adult and children's feet. Orthotics are most commonly used for foot discomfort and injury treatment but also as general support and prevention for your:

  • Feet

  • Legs

  • Knees

  • Hips; or

  • Back

How Do Custom Orthotics Work

Orthotics help in many ways:

  • Realign your feet and lower limbs

  • Redistribute pressure throughout your foot

  • Reduce forces on muscles, joints, and ligaments

  • Address the cause of many common foot and lower limb problems

  • Prevent musculoskeletal problems in the future

From pain reduction to performance enhancement, show your feet some love with orthotics inserted into your shoes to support, align, prevent and/or accommodate foot abnormalities, and improve how the foot functions.

Like eyeglasses for your feet, we design custom orthotics to correct your foot function, alleviate pain, and help you stay active!

Functions of Orthotics

When it comes to foot orthotics, there are two main functions:

  1. It helps to decrease excess motion in an over-pronated foot, often called a flat foot.

  2. The most commonly used with high rigid arches provides equal weight distribution and shock absorption.
